North Shore Hawaii. 11 December, 2009 : – - Mick and Parko met on the beach today at Pipe and shared a hug. Tomorrow they are going head to head for the 2009 world title. If it doesn’t happen tomorrow there is a very good chance, with all the swell on the way, that we’ll know the result by Sunday night. Both guys had some fun waves at Off The Wall today.

Hawaiians ruled the day’s proceedings, taking six wins in nine heats. Sunny Garcia second in conention for the Triple Crown, was knocked out of the Billabong Pipeline Masters after arriving late for his heat. John John Florence, 16, wildcard and youngest the competitor in the event, was dominant today eliminating Heitor Alves.

A perfect first day

North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii, 10 December, 2009 : – - Aloha from a pumping North Shore. Yes the North Shore is still firing with Pipeline and Backdoor turning it on for the first day of the Billabong Pipeline Masters. The winds stayed Trades all day and the swell swung slightly through the day from north-west to more west.
